'Children are made readers on the laps of their parents' - Emilie Buchwald

What you'll do
Babies Love Books is a fun and immersive experience for you and your little one. Our team will guide you through a program that has been designed to support your baby's foundations for learning and development. In each session we will:

- Sing to baby
- Read to baby
- Play with baby
- Encourage baby to explore and learn through sensory experiences

Each week we will repeat a similar routine to establish familiarity and confidence in what they are learning.

It's never too early to start reading!
From the moment your baby is born they start learning from the world around them. Your baby's brain doubles in weight in the first 12 months and will reach 90% of it's full size by the age of 5. Every time you read, talk, sing and connect with your baby, you are helping them grow, learn and have a happy start to life.

What should I know?

- It is recommended that you and your baby attend a full term of BLB to benefit. This program has been designed to introduce parents to the importance of reading and early literacy skills from birth.
- We encourage parents with toddlers and young children to bring a second carer to mind them or come just with baby.

Who should attend?
This program is for parents or carers with babies aged 0-18 months.
