Ep 5: Stigma around mental health & seeking help
Shellharbour City Libraries has partnered with registered Psychologist, Rhyle Baker from Harbour Health Psychology & Clinical Services to bring you a mini-series discussing mental health help. This 6-part series covers a range of topics to get us thinking about how we can help ourselves and others around us seek help when we are struggling with mental health issues.
In this video, Joseph and Rhyle discuss the changing language around mental health and seeking help, how we can break down further stigma around speaking up and why men feel like they have to ‘push through’ and ‘toughen up’.
