Squash, Summer
Cucurbita pepo
Thought about adding squash to your summer garden? They’re easy and quick growing – you can be harvesting in as little as 6-7 weeks! They’re in the same family as pumpkins and melons!
They have a delicious tender yellow, nutty flavour with a texture similar to zucchini. Best picked with young.
Try them baked, roasted, steamed or sliced and thrown into stir-fries.
