City Library, Wednesday 3 September & Wednesday 10 September, 10am-12pm
Looking to learn how to navigate sewing patterns? Learn the basics of reading, understanding & using sewing patterns to create garments! From decoding pattern symbols to choosing the right fabric and size, this session will give you the confidence to start sewing with ease.
What you’ll do:
Week 1: Learn how to read, resize & use a sewing pattern!
Week 2: Using your sewing patterns & new skills, cut & begin to sew a garment!
Knowledge required:
Basic knowledge & experience with a sewing machine is preferred, however this course is perfect for beginners.
Who is this for?
This program is suitable for adults. Please ensure you are available for both weeks of this 2 session course.
What should I bring?
Please bring 2.5m (long pants) or 1.2m (short pants) of either flannel, cotton or poplin material for your chosen garment. All other sewing supplies will be provided.
If you wish to learn on your own sewing machine feel free to BYO, otherwise sewing machines will be supplied.
